All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Champion Trophy to be Held on December 24 in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Association is set to host the All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Champion Trophy on Tuesday, December 24, at the headquarters of Hadi International Karate Academy in Gulbahar, Peshawar.

The competition will feature athletes competing in four weight categories (-40kg, -50kg, -60kg, -70kg) and an open weight category. Each team is allowed to field one player per weight category. The deadline for registration is December 22, and no entries will be accepted after this date.

Speaking to the media, Shihan Sahibzada Al-Hadi, International Referee and President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Association, stated that players from all styles of full contact karate are welcome to participate under the World Karate Organization (WKO) rules.

He further added that outstanding players from this event will be selected for national and international competitions.

This championship not only aims to provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills but also plays a vital role in promoting the growth of full contact karate in the region.

The team of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan gave an impressive performance at the Inter-departmental Karate Championship held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore, and secured 3rd position.

HEC team demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, winning a total of 18 medals, including 1 gold, 6 silver, and 11 bronze medals.

In the female category, Nimra Ali won the silver medal in Individual Kata, while the team comprising Hafiza Iqra Anwar, Summaya Rafaqat, and Aayira Faisal won bronze medal in Team Kata. The team also won one bronze medal in Team Kumite. Other notable female performances included four silver medals and three bronze medals in various weight categories.

The male team also gave a very good performance with Haris Nadeem winning a bronze medal in Individual Kata. The team comprising Haris Nadeem, Dilawar, Nouman Arshad, and Alyan secured bronze medal in Team Kata.

The team won silver medal in Team Kumite, while Syed Wasi Haider clinched a gold medal in the below 75 kg weight category. Other male athletes won five bronze medals in various weight categories.

Expert guidance, up to the mark training, teamwork, athletes’ dedication and hard work led to this impressive performance. HEC’s participation in the championship demonstrates its commitment to promoting sports excellence and empowering university students to achieve laurels in both academics and athletics.

Haripur clinched victory in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Tournament, as players from the Fitness Martial Arts Club in Haripur showcased remarkable performances, securing the championship trophy. Charsadda secured second place, while Lower Dir came third.

Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Qaiser Khan and, L.t Col Commandant of the XI Corps, Abid Aziz, awarded medals and trophies to the winning players. Fitness Martial Arts Academy Haripur’s coach, Amazai Khan, was also present at the ceremony.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Full Contact Karate Tournament was held at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex in Charsadda, with competitions held across various weight categories.

In the 40 kg category, players from Lower Dir displayed exceptional skill, sweeping all three positions. Fazalullah won the gold medal, followed by Mujeeb with silver, and Sahil Aziz taking bronze. In the 70 kg event, Haripur’s Aman Shah took gold, Riaz claimed silver, and Sajjad Zaki from Haripur secured bronze.

Haripur’s athletes excelled, with Ol Khan winning gold, Qalam Khan earning silver, and Sajjad taking bronze. Peshawarโ€™s Abdur Raqeeb secured gold, while Haripur’s Zakirullah and Muiz Ahmed took silver and bronze, respectively. In the open weight category, Abdul Rehman from Charsadda took first place, with Babar Ali in second, and Irfan securing third.

Haripur claimed the overall district championship, followed by Charsadda in second and Lower Dir in third. During the closing ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Qaiser Khan and L.t Col Abid Aziz awarded medals and trophies to the top performers.

Independence Day Inter-Club Karate Championship Concludes in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Independence Day Inter-Club Karate Championship, held at the Karate Academy in Peshawar Sports Complex, concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony. Assistant Director of Sports Shah Faisal graced the event as the chief guest, joined by Senior Vice President of the Provincial Karate Association Khalid Noor, Senior Vice President of the Provincial Table Tennis Association Kifayatullah, and karate coach Amal Gul Afridi, who presented trophies and certificates to the top performers.

The championship saw enthusiastic participation from both male and female competitors, many of whom proudly carried the national flag and chanted “Pakistan Zindabad.”

In the 25 kg weight category, Fayaz secured first place, followed by Junaid in second. Talha won the silver medal. In the 40 kg category, Sadis claimed the top position and Ibrahim was second. Zulqarnain and Muhammad Huzaifa took the gold and silver medals, respectively, in the 45 kg category. Faizan won gold and Daniyal silver in the 50 kg category, while Abdulmahiman and Fahad achieved gold and silver in the 55 kg category.

For the women’s divisions, Mushaim and Maimoona topped the 25 kg category. In the 30 kg category, Hamda won gold and Mehrul Nasa silver. Areeba secured gold and Aiza silver in the 40 kg category. In the 45 kg weight class, Huda took first place and Naseeba second. Aqsi won gold and Maleeha Noor silver in the 50 kg category, and Fatima and Ayman earned gold and silver, respectively, in the 55 kg category. Ishaane and Meerab triumphed in the 60 kg category with gold and silver medals.

Chief Guest Shah Faisal praised the athletes for their performance, highlighting their potential as the future of sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He noted the provincial government’s commitment to advancing sports in the region, promising future improvements.

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Ibrahim, a renowned karate player from Peshawar, has rapidly ascended to the pinnacle of his sport, earning numerous provincial, national, and international accolades. His story, marked by overcoming poverty and limited education, is a testament to resilience and dedication.

From a young age, Ibrahim was passionate about karate. However, severe economic hardships forced him to abandon his education in the eighth grade and join the family business of making slippers to support household expenses. Despite these challenges, Ibrahim’s passion for karate never waned. In 2007,

he found solace and purpose while training under international player and qualified coach Khalid Noor at Safi Warrior Martial Arts Academy in Sadar, Peshawar. Through relentless hard work, Ibrahim transformed from a novice into a seasoned champion.

Ibrahim’s impressive achievements highlight his potential. He secured a gold medal at the South Asian Games in India and a silver medal in the team event at the South Asian Championships in Sri Lanka, demonstrating his prowess on the international stage. Domestically,

he dominated by winning consecutive gold medals at the National Games from 2018 to 2023, along with multiple gold medals at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U-23 and U-21 Games.

His outstanding performance earned him a position with Pakistan WAPDA. Speaking to the media, Ibrahim expressed gratitude for his coach, Khalid Noor, whose dedication helped him hone his skills. “I consider myself fortunate to have a coach like Khalid Noor.

His hard work and efforts brought out my potential. People now recognize me not just in Peshawar but across Pakistan,” he said. Ibrahim emphasized that hard work never goes unrewarded, attributing his success to perseverance and faith.

Despite his achievements, Ibrahim remains committed to his roots, continuing his slipper-making profession while training rigorously at the Peshawar Sports Complex.

His ultimate goal is to represent Pakistan in the SAIF Games. He believes martial arts not only keeps a person physically fit but also mentally strong.

Ibrahim’s story is a testament to faith and perseverance. Through sheer determination, he overcame numerous obstacles, earning admiration from family, friends, and fellow athletes. His resilience serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for aspiring athletes nationwide.

Islamabad became champion in all female weight categories

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Association (Shin Kyuktion Kahi) organized the All KPK Full Contact Karate Championship at its headquarters Gulbahar Peshawar.

Male and females players from various districts of the province included Wah, Taxila, Hurrypur, Abbotabad, Peshawar and Islamabad participated in karate fight competition On this occasion a delegate form sports department KP Shah Faisal along with other honored guests including Altaf Rumi Nadeem tamseel,

Hidayatullah and President Chamber of Commerce Nazim Farid Gul Sahib and other important personalities participated in the championship.

The competitions held under the rules of the World Karate Organization Japan, Ayan Zada โ€‹โ€‹won the first place in the men’s -30 weight category.

Saeed got second position, Kamran first in -40, Arman second, Atiqur Rehman first in -50 and Aamir second, Qalam Khan first in -60 and Ishaq second, Aman Shah first in -70 and Qasim second,

In the heavyweight category Sajjad Zaki of Haripur placed first and Mujeeb ur Rehman of Islamabad Secure second position,

while in the women’s competition, Shaza Qamar of Islamabad secure 1St position and became a champion and Safora of Wah Kent took the second position in the 40-weight category.

While in -50 Mahnoor Qamar of Islamabad got the first position and Hania of Wah Cantt got the second position.

The International Referee and Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sahibzada al Hadi thanked all the officials and team managers including Muhammad Yasin, Chingiz Khan Tanuli,

Sajjad Hussain, and founder of martial Arta promoting foundation (MAPF) Mr . Qamer Nadeem and others for their efforts to make the event a success while the official of Sports Board KPK assured there cooperation to continue the mission of training self-defence among boys and girls.

Dawar Gladiatorโ€™s second success win in the competition, the victory was made possible by Osama Razzaq who scored a 30-ball 50 runs with the aid of eight fours one hug sixe to help his team collect 170-7 in 20 overs.
Sharyar Ghani hit four boundaries and two sixes in making a 34-ball 46 runs, Sohail Khan contributed 27 in 14 ball with three fours and a six.
Medium pacer Imran Choori claimed three wickets for 29 runs.
Bheda Tiger, in reply, could sent packing to 79-10 in 13.2 overs. Muhammad Waqas 26 in 20 balls three fours, Dlawar Marchant 24 in 23 balls three fours were the main scorer from the loosers.

Pakistan ju-jitsu athletes once again made our nation proud by winning 7 Gold and 2 Silver Medals at the World Ju Jitsu eTournament for Show System organized by the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) from 3rd to 11th September 2021. The event was held in virtual format and 64 teams participated in the event. Pakistan attained Second Position on the medal table by winning nine medals. It is to be noted that this was the debut performance for all the athletes as they participated first time in an international scale event.

Ahad Bhatti and Sehar Ijaz won Gold Medal in U18 Mixed Show. Mohammad Ayaan and Syed Rohaan Mehdi won Gold Medal in U18 Men Show. Mohammad Rohaan Khan and Rishaal Khan won Gold Medal in U16 Mixed Show. Muhammad Yousaf Ali and Mohammad Rohaan Khan won Gold Medal in U16 Men Show. Mohammad Ali and Hifza Iftikhar won Gold Medal in U14 Mixed Show. Eshal Fatima and Mishaal Fatima won Gold Medal in U12 Women Show. Rida Salman and Mohammad Abdullah won Gold Medal in U12 Mixed Show.

Ali Mukhtar and Umar Saeed won Silver Medal in U21 Men Beginner Category. Zain ul Abdeen and Afif ul Hassan won Silver Medal in U14 Men Show.

The Federation had focused on Junior category Performance in this event, keeping in view the Gold Medal won by Kainat Arif and Isra Waseem in the last World Ju Jitsu eTournament held in March 2021.

Karachi: Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) has planned to continue its efforts in defusing knowledge and latest rules through Referee Refresher Course in collaboration with Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) on Sunday, July 04 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic restriction in combat sports and physical activities by the Government of Pakistan which pandemic has wreaked havoc in the entire world with thousands of people losing their lives.
Ju-Jitsu, being a distinctive genre of the martial arts, cannot be contested individually, PJJF said in a press release.
โ€œThus, maintaining the mandatory protocol of the current pandemic scenario, it was decided to kick off the activities covering educational aspects,โ€ the PJJF said.
โ€œThe course will facilitate gathering of all Ju-Jitsu referees and technical officials from all over Pakistan.The all-affiliated units including departments and provinces have already been informed by PJJF Secretariat. Mr. Patrik World A Class referee from Austria will be imparting training and will focus on the latest development in the rules of Fighting System with support Mr. Kazim Ali Technical Director of PJJF. Mr. Joachim Thumfart Director General & Sports Director of JJIF will also participate in this seminar. Tariq Ali Secretary General of South Asian Ju-Jitsu Regional Association will be the moderator. PJJF president Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan has announced this by saying that PJJF is committed to its untiring mission of educating our youth with the latest amendments in the rules just like anti doping seminars were conducted in the past to educate our athletes. It is part of the record that PJJF has the honour to introduced and conduct anti doping seminar/webinars in Pakistan being the first sporting organization which footpath was followed by the POA and other sports organization in the country. Thus, now PJJF which is preparing its National Squad for the upcoming Asian Championship in September and World Championship in October 2021 in Abu Dhabi. Needless to mention that PJJF is the only sports organization which has brought uncounted medal and laurels for the country. This journey of glory will continue as PJJF follows strictly only merit in selection of the national team.
